So for my first blog i have decided to talk about something that i believe that everyone will be interested in. Something life changing. Something so excititing it will have every gay in England begging. That's right the reunion tour of non other than the most famous girl pop supper group ever...the SPICE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!!
First off for the select few people who don't know about the spice girls, i have but one thing to ask...were the hell were you during the nineties. As almost every human being knows the spice girls were huge not in their home country of England but in the entire world. With catchy pop songs that became instant hits to a movie that became a phenomenon. However, nothing so amazing as the spice girls could ever stand the test of times and despite their talk of sisterhood and girl power they broke up. leaving millions of fans with nothing to do except go home and put little cuts on their legs. j/k. (yay for will and grace quotes).
This attempt at a come back for the spice girls will not have been their first. In the year 2000 the spice girls released their first studio album in three years, forever. However, it did not generate the stir it had hopped, for without one of the most influential, Ginger Spice, the group just didn't have the same mojo. To put into terms how poorly this album did lets just say that the last single was properly tittled "Goodbye."
Like most groups that come to an unfortunate ending the individual band members took a shot at their own solo careers. Most of the spice girls while not being very big in the United States found great success in other parts of the world, mostly Europe because lets face if you can't make it in American where else you gonna go.
First of their was Geri Halliwell who's solo career was like watching a train wreck at first. For many reasons. For one in her first video for, Look at me from her first album Schizophrenic she tried to break away from her ginger spice roots even having a funeral cart with the name ginger on it, big mistake for every person and everyone realized except her. However after this she went on the sell over 3 million records of her first album. Then in her second album she made herself a legend, in Europe at least oh and the gay world, with her remake of the legendary Weather Girls song "its raining men"

This song became, according to the united world billboard charts, the number two song of the year placing second only to Lady marmalade featuring Christina agulliera, pink, Lil Kim, and mya. The song was also featured in the queer as fold sound track, and was a song on many DDR games. And if that doesn't make you start then i don't know what does.
Then their is by far my favorite spice girl solo career that of Emma Bunton aka baby spice. Her solo career while not nearly successful as Geri's is my favorite due to one song...MAYBE and let me say it is amazing.

Its catchy sounds and almost musical theatre video make it my favorite by far.
Now one can never forget about the famous Victoria "posh" Beckham. who hit it big, no not when she had a number one hit but when she married soccer supperstar David Beckham. and ever since then she has not even ever needed to try and make and album. however to everyone dismay she did and the result was a very sad one indeed. For at one point in her career right before the release of her first big record label album she was booed off stage and had stuff thrown at her. needless to say the album didn't do so well.
Now of course there are the two other spice girls scary and sporty. Who haven't done anything particularly important. Scary who stared in the hit Broadway Musical Rent, and Beauty and the Beast, eventually found her name in the public with her who the baby daddy scandal with Eddie Murphy and sporty who has been going talking of her battle with anorexia oh yeah and she was also on the techno album Fired Up, you know the one with that really annoying infomerical that aways comes on during will and grace. Shes the one with the flower leaning towards the sun song. If you think about it you'll realize who I'm talking about.
well now that i have caught you up on all of the important stuff with the spice girls you can now become one of the millions who WON'T be able to get a ticket to their show because for one they only have 4 in a America. and two need i remind you of the spice world tour in which angry mobs of crazy mother cursed Ticketmaster for running out of tickets in a mear 25 minutes. and on top of all of that did i mention they only have four in America. GRRRRRRRRRR you spice girls.....so while the Thought of a spice girls Reunion tour sounds promising be prepared for heart ace for it is simply a ploy to get you to buy the greatest hits album. just remember whatever the outcome i am praying for the best.
Peace girl out girl scouts.

Hilarious! I really enjoyed this, though I don't know if I have ever heard a single Spice Girl song.
SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!! fo realz
My friend might be going and I hate him for it, I want to go -_-
i'll bring my ipod to class wendy so you can enjoy some spice girl magic. because it is magical. i remember the first cassette tape i bought when i got my walk-man was spice girls. if they come anywhere close to memphis i'm there.
one of my first CD's was spice girls...among Hanson and All Saints. Hahahah.
Love it!!! this makes me think of third grade when my friends and i would spend the night with each other and sing the songs. I was always ginger, hence the red hair. "all you need is positivity"
Has anyone seen the comedy relief of David and Victoria Beckham by Ali G. Its so hilarious eventhough there is minimal talk about the spice girls. I must say this was about 7-10 years ago when their first child (Brooklyn)was born. This is like the rolling stones except instead of the singers wearing diapers like the Stones, they will be wearing silicon and plastic from their midriff and above. Here's a link to the Ali G comic relief. Please watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P842Tmi6lrc
Haha, you just talked like ten times more about the Spice Girls than anyone I've ever met! You aren't joking around though, you did your research on them!! Much like your research on America's Next Top Model.
